Taliban Says 265,000 Kilos of Expired Food Collected in Kabul

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban administration, said that in 1447, 265,496 kilograms of expired food items and poor-quality cleaning products were collected from different districts of Kabul city.
According to him, 185,922 kilograms of the expired food items were destroyed. He did not provide any details about the remaining goods or how they were handled.
The Taliban administration released the figures at a time when the quality of food and consumer goods in Kabul markets is among the concerns of city residents.
Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is the country’s most populous city, and monitoring the quality of food and health products in its markets is considered one of the important responsibilities of the relevant authorities.
