Police in Badakhshan and Ghazni Seize Hundreds of Kilograms of Narcotics in Major Operations

Police forces in Badakhshan province successfully discovered and confiscated 360 kilograms of various narcotics from Argo district following an intelligence-led operation. Meanwhile, police in Ghazni province seized 252 kilograms of narcotics hidden inside a fuel tanker in the Rozah Shahr checkpoint area of Ghazni.

During these operations, five individuals were arrested on charges related to drug trafficking. After completing investigations, their cases will be referred to judicial authorities. These arrests and seizures highlight the ongoing drug trafficking crisis that threatens the security and health of the people in these provinces.

These incidents underscore the urgent need for serious action by the Taliban administration to combat drug trafficking and improve security across different regions of the country. The history of narcotics smuggling in Badakhshan and Ghazni provinces remains a significant concern for both the community and security agencies.
