UN Women Calls for Solidarity and Mutual Support Among Women
UN Women has said the world needs greater support for women and that solidarity among women is important to strengthen their voices.
The agency called on women on Sunday, Sept. 6, on X to stand together and create, through support and kindness, a space where everyone can speak with confidence.
UN Women also said women should believe in one another’s abilities and encourage each other to speak up and express their views.
In part of its message, the agency wrote: “We need a world where women support women. Let’s support one another, be kind to one another, and believe in our own abilities.”
UN Women is the United Nations’ specialized agency for women’s empowerment and gender equality, and it regularly takes positions on the rights and role of women in different societies.
