Sidewalk and Road Paving Projects Begin in Asadabad, Kunar Province

The Taliban administration has announced the commencement of construction work on a 1.85-kilometer sidewalk and the paving of 800 meters of road in Asadabad city, the capital of Kunar province. According to Asadabad municipality officials, the total cost of these projects is estimated at 12.6 million Afghanis, with completion expected within the next four months. Authorities claim that the implementation of these projects will create employment opportunities for 240 people and help alleviate some of the transportation challenges in the city. Asadabad, located in eastern Afghanistan, has long faced issues related to urban infrastructure, and the execution of such standard urban projects is considered one of the essential needs of the city.
