Taliban Health Officials Meet Uzbek Counterparts to Expand Pharmaceutical Cooperation

The Ministry of Public Health of the Taliban administration announced that the Deputy Minister for Food and Medicine visited Uzbekistan on an official trip and met with Abdullah Azizov, Deputy Minister of Health and Head of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Office of Uzbekistan.

According to a press release from the ministry published on Sunday, July 19, both sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the production and supply of medicines, medical equipment, health, and food products.

The meeting also emphasized the transfer of technical knowledge, enhancement of technical capacities, and the development of trade relations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Officials further discussed strengthening joint cooperation and exchanging experiences between relevant institutions of the two countries.
