Iran’s Foreign Minister Says Tehran Maintains Military and Diplomatic Readiness Amid Ongoing Talks

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, spoke about the recent Iranian delegation’s visit to Qatar, stating that the trip aimed to continue consultations with Qatari mediators and that negotiations are still ongoing. He added that the visit was at the deputy foreign minister level and did not include plans for direct negotiations with the United States.

Araghchi emphasized that consultations on the two-day plan continue, but no definitive result has been reached so far. Achieving an agreement depends on the US responses to Iran’s questions. He also expressed hope that rationality would prevail on the American side to allow diplomacy to be chosen.

The foreign minister also referred to the orders issued by the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to military commanders, stating that these directives reflect the strong will of the Islamic Republic of Iran in defense matters. He noted that Iran’s armed forces, drawing on experience from two past wars, have increased their capabilities.

In conclusion, Araghchi stressed that Iran remains simultaneously prepared for both defense and diplomacy, emphasizing that the path chosen by the United States depends on its rationality.
