The Department of Education in Zabul province, now under Taliban administration, announced that 50 new schools have been activated in several areas of the province. This development has opened educational opportunities for nearly 30,000 students who were previously deprived of education. Officials from the department stated that with the activation of these schools, access to primary education and literacy programs has expanded across various parts of Zabul. They described this move as part of efforts to increase educational coverage in remote regions. Some students and local residents have welcomed the establishment and reopening of these schools, considering it an important step toward improving the educational situation in the province. They expressed hope that teaching materials and the number of educators will also be regularly strengthened. Zabul province has faced security challenges and a lack of educational infrastructure in recent years, with many children in some areas having no access to quality educational services.
