Cash Aid Distributed to 350 Needy Families in Nangarhar

The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Security Command in Nangarhar province has announced the distribution of cash assistance to 350 poor and needy families in the province. According to officials, these aid packages were provided in cooperation with several organizations.

Officials added that, in addition to financial support, professional, religious, and modern educational training has been arranged for some individuals and children from these families. They stated that the aim of this initiative is to support vulnerable families and prevent their involvement in drug-related activities.

Nangarhar, an eastern province of Afghanistan, has faced severe economic challenges and widespread unemployment in recent years. Many residents say that rising poverty and limited job opportunities during the Taliban administration have increased the urgent need for aid among the population.

Although distributing cash aid can alleviate some immediate problems for needy families, social experts emphasize that a sustainable solution involves creating lasting job opportunities and transparent support programs—responsibilities that fall directly on the Taliban administration.
