Mazar-i-Sharif Municipality Begins Road Watering to Combat Heat

The Mazar-i-Sharif municipality has announced the commencement of watering streets and public routes in the city following a rise in temperatures. The initiative aims to reduce dust and lower the heat on road surfaces.

According to information from the municipality, urban streets will be watered every other day. This program covers public routes and heavily trafficked areas of the city.

Municipal officials stated that this process will continue until the end of the severe heatwave, with watering carried out in different parts of the city according to needs and a predetermined schedule.

Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, experiences a significant increase in temperature and dust during the summer each year, affecting the daily lives of its residents.
