UNICEF Donates $193,000 Worth of Educational Materials to Logar Schools

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has donated $193,000 worth of educational materials to the Logar Provincial Department of Education. This aid is intended to benefit 41,880 students across 289 schools in the province.
Officials from the Logar Department of Education, operating under Taliban administration, stated that the support package includes 2,092 sets of educational materials designed for students in grades one through five. They added that the distribution process will commence soon in the schools.
According to the information provided, this assistance comes at a time when many schools in various provinces face shortages of books and educational supplies—a problem that has become more pronounced following political changes in the country and a reduction in financial support.
Officials further noted that while this educational package will partially alleviate the shortage of learning materials, the education sector’s needs remain extensive. Continued support is considered vital for improving the educational conditions of students across different regions of the country.
