Abdul Nafi Takor appointed head of public police and 119 hotline

The Taliban-run Interior Ministry has announced that Abdul Nafi Takor has been named head of the Public Police and 119 department of the ministry and has formally begun his work.

According to the ministry, his appointment was made recently and he has been given responsibility for leading the Public Police section and the 119 emergency number.

Abdul Nafi Takor had previously also served for a period as spokesman for the Taliban-run Interior Ministry.

In Afghanistan, 119 is known as the police emergency hotline and operates under the umbrella of the Interior Ministry.
