India Donates Medical Supplies and Medicines to Kabul Government Hospital

India has donated medical equipment and packages of medicines to a government hospital in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said the supplies were handed over to the hospital.

In a post on X on Thursday, 29 Asad, he said the assistance was sent as part of what he described as a “renewed commitment to a sustainable health partnership with the friendly people of Afghanistan.”

According to Jaiswal, the latest shipment includes medical equipment and medicine packages. He gave no further details on the type of equipment, the value of the aid or the name of the hospital.

In recent years, India has also provided part of its humanitarian and health assistance to Afghanistan through the delivery of medicines, treatment equipment and cooperation with health centres. Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is home to some of the country’s largest government hospitals.
