Taliban Begins Construction of 30-Bed Hospital in Zabul’s Shamulzai District

The Taliban administration has launched the construction of a 30-bed hospital in the center of Shamulzai district in Zabul province. According to officials from the administration, the project is being implemented with a budget of 48 million Afghanis.

Noorjalal Jalali, acting head of the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health, stated at the project’s inauguration ceremony that the establishment of healthcare centers across various parts of the country is ongoing, aiming to address the medical needs of citizens.

Many residents of remote districts, including those in Zabul province, have faced years of shortage in healthcare services and limited access to medical facilities. This situation has made the creation of standard healthcare centers an essential and primary need for the people.

Zabul province, located in southern Afghanistan, includes several districts that, due to geographic dispersion and lack of infrastructure, face serious challenges in public health services.
