Taliban Representative in Tehran Discusses Afghan Migrants’ Health Insurance with Iranian Official

The Taliban’s representative office in Tehran announced that its head met with the director of Iran’s Foreign Nationals and Migrants Affairs Center to discuss the challenges faced by Afghan migrants, especially concerning the payment of health insurance for holders of the Amayesh card.

According to a statement from the Afghan Embassy under Taliban administration in Iran, Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, the chargé d’affaires of the office, met with Seyed Taghi Qaemi to exchange views on the existing challenges in providing services to Afghan migrants.

During the meeting, the method of paying health insurance premiums for Amayesh cardholders was a key point of discussion. The Amayesh card is a document issued to a segment of Afghan migrants residing in Iran, granting its holders access to certain services, including healthcare.
