Anti-Drug Forces Seize 564.5kg of Narcotics in Three Provinces

Anti-drug forces have uncovered a total of 564.5 kilograms of narcotics in several separate operations in the provinces of Badakhshan, Takhar and Maidan Wardak, and prevented their smuggling. Seven people have also been arrested in connection with the trafficking of these drugs.

In Badakhshan province, 203 kilograms of drugs were discovered on the Keshm-Fayzabad highway, while in Takhar province, 229.5 kilograms were found in areas of Kalfgan district.

Meanwhile, 132 kilograms of opium were recovered during searches in the Narkh district area of Maidan Wardak province. After initial police investigations, those arrested will be handed over to the judicial and legal authorities.
