Ismail Miahil calls for revolutionary struggle against Taliban rule

Ismail Miahil, the former head of Afghanistan’s National Radio and Television under the republic, has said Afghanistan should not be left in the hands of those with Taliban ideology, and that people have a responsibility toward this land and future generations. He has called for the formation of a revolutionary struggle against Taliban rule.

Miahil, quoting part of a new song by Mir Khan Moghul, said it reflects a path of determination and thought, and said people should unite for Afghanistan’s freedom. He added that this feeling must be turned into a shared national will and struggle.

He expressed hope that the people of Afghanistan would soon take their destiny into their own hands, free the country from what he called “oppression,” and turn it back into a “garden.”

The report says the Taliban administration’s strict policies and its rejection of voices of peace, democratic values, and the demands of the younger generation are among the factors behind rising public dissatisfaction. It also refers to growing protests and military operations against the Taliban administration.
