Five scanners worth 39.2 million afghanis installed at customs posts

Five scanners worth 39.2 million afghanis have been installed at three customs posts in Afghanistan, the Taliban-run Ministry of Finance says. The ministry said the move is aimed at improving the inspection and assessment of passengers’ belongings.

According to the ministry, two scanners have been installed at the Islam Qala customs post in Herat province and two others at the Torkham customs post in Nangarhar province. One scanner has also been allocated to the airport customs office in Khost province.
