Afghan Police Discover and Burn Drug Processing Factory in Ghor Province

Anti-narcotics police forces announced the discovery and destruction of a drug processing and production factory in the Ahangaran district of Ghor province. According to the forces, during the operation, 1,375 kilograms of materials used in drug processing were also seized, and the factory was set on fire.
Simultaneously, in a separate operation in the Tari district of Paktika province, police forces uncovered and confiscated nearly one ton and eight kilograms of hashish.
The provinces of Ghor and Paktika are among the areas where drug cultivation and trafficking activities have been reported in some regions. Despite repeated declarations by the Taliban administration about combating narcotics, experts emphasize that for a sustainable control of this phenomenon, fundamental measures such as providing alternative livelihoods for farmers and transparent monitoring of program implementation are also necessary.
