Police seize 559 kg of narcotics in Badakhshan and Maidan Wardak

Police said that separate operations in the provinces of Badakhshan and Maidan Wardak led to the discovery and seizure of a total of 559 kilograms of narcotics.

According to police, 329 kilograms of the drugs were found in the Tishkan district of Badakhshan province, while the remaining 230 kilograms were discovered in the Nerkh district of Maidan Wardak province.

Police added that three people have been arrested in connection with the smuggling of the drugs and will be handed over to judicial authorities after their case files are prepared.
