Over 60 Afghan Companies Participate in Tashkent International Industrial Exhibition

Nooruddin Azizi, acting head of the Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, attended the opening ceremony of the International Industrial Exhibition in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which featured the participation of more than 60 Afghan companies.
According to the ministry, during this visit, Azizi toured the showcased products and goods. He stated that the purpose of this participation was to strengthen economic ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, become acquainted with industrial and technological advancements, support domestic production, and assess market conditions.
The three-day exhibition held in Uzbekistan’s capital included Afghan companies from sectors such as cotton, coal, spices, and agricultural products. Uzbekistan is considered a significant trading partner of Afghanistan in Central Asia, and the two countries have worked in recent years to increase their level of trade exchanges.
However, economic activists consistently emphasize that to effectively capitalize on such opportunities, the Taliban administration needs to provide practical support for the private sector, facilitate exports, and ensure sustainable access to regional markets. They believe these measures play a fundamental role in economic growth and job creation in the country.
