New Herat Chamber of Commerce and Industries building inaugurated at cost of 65 million afghanis

The Taliban administration has announced that a new building for the Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Herat province has been built and inaugurated at a cost of 65 million afghanis. The building was opened at a ceremony attended by Sheikh Mawlawi Islam Jar, the Taliban-appointed governor of Herat, along with several industrialists and traders.
According to officials, the purpose of constructing the building is to improve administrative services for industrialists and traders and to provide greater ease for their activities. However, officials did not provide further details about the type of services, the building’s capacity, or when full services will begin.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industries is considered one of the institutions related to commercial and industrial activity in Afghanistan, and Herat, as one of the country’s important economic provinces, hosts a significant share of commercial and industrial activity.
