Afghan Chamber of Commerce Delegation Visits Turkmenistan to Boost Economic Cooperation

The Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment has announced that one of its economic delegations traveled to Ashgabat at the official invitation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. According to the organization, discussions between the two sides focused on expanding cooperation in trade, transit, oil and gas, joint investment, and improving border facilities. The removal of trade barriers and facilitation of exchange processes between the two countries were also addressed during the meetings. The Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment added that members of this delegation have invited around 100 Turkmen businessmen and investors to visit Afghanistan to explore economic opportunities. Both sides emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint agreements. Turkmenistan, one of Afghanistan’s northern neighbors, has been a key partner in transit and energy cooperation, especially within the framework of regional projects, in recent years.
