Taliban Administration Begins Construction of $1.6 Million Terminal in Farah Province

The Taliban administration has initiated the construction of a passenger and cargo terminal worth 128 million Afghanis in Farah province. According to the administration, the project is expected to be completed within 20 months.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation announced that the terminal will be built on a land area of one thousand jeribs. At the inauguration ceremony of the project, Hafiz Sediqullah Abid, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry, and Mullah Mohammad Hafiz Mujahid, the governor of Farah, were in attendance.

The Taliban administration claims that upon completion of this project, the process of transporting passengers and commercial goods will become more organized and transportation services in the province will reach a standard level. The administration also stated that the construction of this terminal will help strengthen Farah’s transportation infrastructure.

Farah is a western province of Afghanistan that has faced a shortage of quality transportation infrastructure in recent years. Its residents have consistently demanded improvements in public services in this sector, which is considered one of the fundamental responsibilities of any ruling administration.
