Large Afghan Business Delegation Travels to Uzbekistan for Trade and Investment Talks

Sayed Karim Hashemi, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, is leading a delegation comprising the chamber’s leadership and over 100 Afghan traders and investors on a three-day visit to Uzbekistan.

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment announced that during the trip, the delegation will meet with officials from the Sardarya province and participate in business-to-business (B2B) meetings between companies.

Visiting production centers in Uzbekistan is also part of the planned itinerary for the trip.

According to the chamber, the purpose of the visit is to expand bilateral trade, encourage investment, and strengthen long-term economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has been one of Afghanistan’s key trade partners in Central Asia in recent years.
