The Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in Nangarhar announced the distribution of improved soybean seeds and chemical fertilizers to 320 farmers in the districts of Behsud, Batikot, Momandara, and Kot. This assistance was provided with financial and technical support from an international organization active in education and nutrition.
Officials from the department stated that the program aims to enhance agricultural production and improve soybean yields in these areas. They noted that the use of improved seeds can play an effective role in increasing both the quality and quantity of crops.
Nangarhar province is considered one of the agricultural regions of the country, with a large part of its population engaged in farming and livestock rearing. The distribution of quality seeds and chemical fertilizers in such programs is usually aimed at supporting farmers and strengthening food security.
