Taliban Health Minister Visits Kabul’s Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital on Eid Day

Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban administration’s Minister of Public Health, visited the specialized and tertiary Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Hospital in Kabul on the first day of Eid al-Adha to assess healthcare services at the center.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Public Health, during his visit, he met with bedridden patients, inquired about their health conditions, and provided financial assistance to several of them.

The Taliban health minister also instructed hospital staff to improve healthcare services during the Eid holidays and expressed appreciation for their efforts.

The statement further noted that Ministry officials have directed healthcare workers in central and provincial facilities to keep treatment centers operational during the nights and Eid days to ensure the public does not face health problems or service shortages—an issue that has been a persistent concern for citizens during public holidays in recent years.
