Taliban Delegation Participates in 24th Astana Transport Cooperation Meeting

A delegation led by Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, Deputy Minister of Public Works of the Taliban administration, participated in the 24th meeting of the Transport and Transit Cooperation Organization held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the ministry, stated that the meeting focused on expanding regional cooperation in the transport and transit sector.

According to him, participating representatives discussed strengthening coordination among member countries and developing transit routes. No further details have been released regarding specific outcomes or potential agreements reached at the meeting.

Due to its geographical location, Afghanistan serves as a key route connecting Central Asia to South Asia, and its presence in such meetings can influence the progress of regional cooperation in the transportation and transit sectors.
