Pakistani Forces Kill 9 Militants in Balochistan Amid Allegations of Indian Support

The Pakistan Army announced that its security forces have killed nine militants in two separate operations in the Kachhi and Wad areas of Balochistan province. These operations were carried out on October 26 based on intelligence reports.

According to the Pakistan Army, in the first encounter in the Kachhi region, seven militants were killed after their hideout was identified by security forces. In the second operation in the Wad area, two additional insurgents were killed following a clash with security personnel. Weapons and ammunition were seized in both operations, and efforts to clear the areas and counter potential threats are ongoing.

The Pakistan Army identified these individuals as members of groups the government refers to as the ‘Indian Conspiracy’ and claimed that these groups operate in Balochistan with Indian support. However, no independent evidence has been presented to verify the allegations of Indian backing.

These operations are part of Pakistan’s ‘Operation Determined Resolve,’ a program officials say is designed to combat armed groups and prevent terrorist activities. These security developments come as Balochistan, a sensitive region in southwestern Pakistan, has seen increased security efforts in recent weeks.

Balochistan holds strategic importance due to its location bordering Iran and Afghanistan, and developments there have implications not only domestically but also for the security of neighboring countries.
