Israeli President Calls for Acceptance of Election Results and Avoidance of Repeat Vote

Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, emphasized the importance of widespread voter participation in Tuesday’s elections on Wednesday and called on all parties to accept the results and prevent another election. According to Herzog, the significant turnout of voters after several decades reflects the importance of democracy in Israeli society, and efforts should be made to avoid repeating the elections.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Election Committee announced that with 85.6% of votes counted across 93% of polling stations, Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition secured 53 seats in the parliament. Additionally, the Yesh Atid party, led by Gadi Eizenkot, won 48 seats, and Arab parties collectively gained 19 seats.

The final election results are expected to have a significant impact on Israel’s domestic political process, although concerns about holding new elections due to the lack of a coalition agreement remain. In this context, the Israeli president has called for political stability and the prevention of an ongoing crisis.
