Riyadh Real Estate Expo Delayed After Yemen Attacks

The international Cityscape 2026 exhibition, one of the world’s largest real estate events, has been postponed following the continued attacks by Yemen’s armed forces on the Saudi capital and the kingdom’s southern regions, and is now set to take place in February 2027.
Saudi Arabia has delayed the event as Yemeni attacks have intensified in recent months, leading to the cancellation or postponement of numerous sports, economic and diplomatic events in the country. The New York Times has warned that these delays are undermining investor confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to provide security and stability.
The impact of the Yemeni attacks extends beyond the real estate exhibition. The Six Kings exhibition tennis tournament, which was due to be held in October, has also been moved to December. In addition, FIFA has announced that the final stage of the 2026 global esports competition, which was to be held in Riyadh, has been postponed until further notice.
These delays highlight the disruptive effect of insecurity on Saudi Arabia’s international plans and have added to existing doubts about stability and security in the country.
