27 Million Afghani Livelihood and Forestry Project to Be Implemented in Kunar

The Taliban-run Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has announced that the Asia Society for Development will implement a project worth more than 27 million Afghanis in Shigal district of Kunar province.

According to the ministry, the programme focuses on livelihoods and forestry and is being carried out under the title “Community-Based Climate-Resilient Livelihoods and Forestry.”

The Taliban administration said the project will be implemented over a period of four months and that its cost has been covered by the United Nations Development Programme.

Shigal district is one of the areas of Kunar province, parts of which have natural resources and forested land.
