Yemeni Armed Forces Confirm Ballistic Missile Strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Yahya Sarea announced that their forces successfully targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with a ballistic missile, causing significant damage to the facility. He also warned that King Khalid Airport is unsafe and urged airlines and passengers to avoid flying through Saudi Arabian airspace, which—except for limited areas such as the airspace over Mecca and Medina—is considered dangerous.

Sarea further detailed three other military operations: a radar facility on the Al-Qahmah Peninsula north of Jizan was struck by a drone; the Akfa camp in Najran was hit with a ballistic missile; and the border command and control building in Jizan was also targeted by a ballistic missile, resulting in casualties among Saudi forces.

These recent military activities come amid ongoing clashes between Yemeni forces and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the increasing insecurity of the airspace and the rising security threats to both military and civilian installations in the region.
