Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Urges Self-Reliance for Change Amid Taliban Rule

Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Switzerland, responded to the victory of Abdul El-Sayed, the Muslim candidate from the US Democratic Party in the recent US Senate elections, emphasizing that the Afghan people should no longer wait for foreign aid to liberate themselves from Taliban rule.

Andisha described the Taliban administration as a “bane” for the country’s citizens and stated that the fight against this regime is only possible through wisdom and internal cooperation. He added that complaints and misplaced reliance on foreign supporters are ineffective.

He further noted that real change does not depend on the emergence of a miraculous savior but requires setting aside selfishness, fostering enlightenment, and striving to create genuine consensus among the Afghan people.

The Afghan ambassador to Switzerland also stressed that belief without action is fruitless, and the responsibility for the country’s liberation must be undertaken by the people themselves.

Abdul El-Sayed, the first Muslim elected to the US Senate, won the recent Senate election from the state of Michigan. This achievement has garnered attention from the Afghan community and Afghan diplomatic circles.
