Afghanistan Front Claims Deadly Attack on Taliban Member in Kandahar
The Afghanistan United Front has said that a member of the Taliban administration’s police was killed in an attack in the city of Kandahar. The front claims the incident took place in District 15 of Kandahar city.
In a post on its X account on Wednesday night, 18 Sonbola, the front said the targeted person was a member of the Taliban police. According to the Afghanistan United Front, the individual was involved in extortion, arbitrary detention and oppression of the people.
The front’s claim has not been independently verified, and the Taliban administration has so far said nothing about the incident. In recent weeks, the front has repeatedly reported attacks on Taliban administration forces in Kandahar province.
At the same time, the Freedom Front recently said it had attacked a gathering of Taliban administration forces in Kunar province. Kandahar is considered one of the important provinces in southern Afghanistan and is regarded as one of the main bases of Taliban influence.
