German delegation visits WFP food and aid programmes in Afghanistan
The World Food Programme (WFP) said a German delegation has visited its activities in Afghanistan and closely reviewed the delivery of assistance to vulnerable communities.
According to the WFP, the visit included parts of its nutrition programmes, community resilience initiatives and logistics operations. The agency said these efforts help Afghans who need immediate support.
The WFP also thanked Germany for its continued cooperation in Afghanistan, saying that collaboration between the two sides is important for supporting people in need.
The World Food Programme is one of the main relief agencies in Afghanistan and works in the areas of food security, nutrition and aid delivery. Germany is also among the international donors to the agency in Afghanistan.
