Parwan Orchard Grows More Than 50 Foreign Grape Varieties

A gardener in Afghanistan’s Parwan province says he has cultivated more than 50 types of grapes from Central Asian countries, Russia and Ukraine in his orchard, and that the varieties have produced good results.

According to him, these grape types differ from common Afghan grapes in taste and quality, and their yield has also been satisfactory.

He said he has grown these varieties in his private orchard, and the experience gained shows that some foreign grape varieties can be cultivated in the province’s climatic conditions.

Parwan is one of the provinces close to Kabul, and gardening is considered one of the important agricultural activities in parts of the province.
