WHO Expands Capacity of Bamyan Provincial Hospital Laboratory
The World Health Organization says it has equipped the molecular diagnostic laboratory at Bamyan Provincial Hospital with modern equipment and increased its service capacity, with support from the European Union office in Afghanistan.
According to the organisation, this move will allow residents of Bamyan and neighbouring provinces to access advanced laboratory services at the hospital.
The World Health Organization did not provide further details on the type of equipment or the extent of the laboratory’s increased capacity.
Bamyan Provincial Hospital is considered one of the main centres for health services in this central Afghan province, and molecular diagnostic laboratories usually play an important role in more accurate disease detection and speeding up testing procedures.
