Taliban Says 81 Investors Have Returned, 288 Jeribs of Land Allocated

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban administration, said 81 traders and industrialists have returned to Afghanistan over the past two years and have been allocated 288 jeribs of land.

According to him, these individuals have invested a total of $68 million. Fitrat also claimed that these investments have created direct jobs for 4,661 people.

The Taliban administration did not provide further details on the location of the land allocations, the sectors in which the investments were made, or how the job opportunities were distributed.

A jerib is one of the commonly used units for measuring land in Afghanistan, mostly used in agriculture and property matters.
