Cash Aid Distributed to 118 Needy Families in Badakhshan

Badakhshan police command, under Taliban administration, has announced that cash assistance has been distributed to 118 needy and impoverished families in the province. According to the statement, these families had been identified as eligible by the assigned committee.

Officials in the anti-narcotics department of Badakhshan police command said each family received 6,600 afghanis. No further details were provided about the source of the aid or the exact time of distribution.

This comes as access by needy families to basic assistance is considered one of the fundamental responsibilities of authorities toward citizens. Badakhshan is one of Afghanistan’s northeastern provinces, where some residents in certain districts are facing livelihood difficulties.
