Afghanistan and Uzbekistan Sign 25 Trade MoUs Worth $50 Million

During the Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Business Communication Conference held in Mazar-i-Sharif, 25 cooperation memorandums between companies and traders from both countries were signed, totaling 50 million dollars.

Faiz Ahmad Khwafi, Deputy for Provincial Affairs at the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, announced that these MoUs were finalized in the presence of 130 Uzbek traders and investors, the governor of Fergana province, and several local officials and private sector activists from Afghanistan.

According to him, the agreements were signed with the aim of developing trade relations, increasing investment levels, and expanding economic cooperation between Kabul and Tashkent.

This conference was held at a time when Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have emphasized strengthening economic, trade, and transit cooperation between the two countries in recent years.
