Over 53,000 Women Receive Pregnancy Services in Kabul and Logar, UNFPA Reports

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) announced that in the first six months of this year, over 53,000 women in the provinces of Kabul and Logar received services from pregnancy care centers.
According to the organization, these services were provided through two pregnancy care centers led by midwives, with funding supported by the European Union in Afghanistan.
The report stated that between January and June of this year, more than four thousand safe deliveries were recorded at these centers.
UNFPA is one of the main United Nations agencies focused on reproductive health and maternal care and has supported pregnancy and childbirth-related services in several provinces of Afghanistan in recent years.
