Iran Launches Missile Attack on US Military Base in Jordan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Tuesday, July 21, that as part of its ongoing “Nasr 2” operation, a complex housing US military forces in the Al-Rukban area of Jordan was targeted in a missile strike, resulting in the deaths of several American soldiers.

According to the IRGC statement, the attack was carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force as the twenty-fourth wave of this operation. The IRGC did not provide further details regarding the number of casualties or the specifics of the attack.

The IRGC also accused the US Secretary of Defense of underreporting the death toll and described the fallen soldiers as “heroes.”

As of the time of this report, US officials have not independently commented on these allegations. The Al-Rukban area, located near the borders of Jordan and Syria, holds strategic importance and has been home to US and international coalition forces in recent years.
