Educational Supplies Distributed to 200 Orphaned Children in Kunar Province

The Department of Labor and Social Affairs in Kunar province announced the distribution of educational supplies worth 120,000 Afghanis to 200 orphaned and parentless children at the central orphanage in Asadabad. This aid was provided in cooperation with a charitable organization and aims to support the education of these children.

According to the department’s statement, the distribution ceremony was held with the presence of Mawlawi Fareedullah Haqqani, head of Labor and Social Affairs in Kunar. He expressed gratitude for the collaboration of the charity “ActionAid” and stated that the Taliban administration, especially the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, is committed to supporting vulnerable groups, including laborers, working children, orphans, and parentless children across the country.

He added that efforts are ongoing to facilitate access to services and necessary facilities for these children. However, many families and children in various provinces continue to face serious economic challenges and lack of educational resources—a responsibility that the Taliban administration must address sustainably.

The head of Labor and Social Affairs in Kunar also called on national and international organizations and charities to implement similar programs to support orphaned and parentless children and to help provide them access to education and essential resources.
