Three Tons of Expired Food and Hygiene Products Destroyed in Baghlan

The Head of Industry and Trade in Baghlan announced the destruction of three tons of expired and low-quality food and hygiene products in Pul-e Khumri city. These items were collected from markets and destroyed in the presence of representatives from relevant agencies.
Qari Mohammad Naeem, an associate of the Head of Industry and Trade in Baghlan, told Bakhtar News Agency that these goods had been gathered over the past three months by a designated committee from various areas of Pul-e Khumri. According to him, after inspection and confirmation that the products were unusable, the disposal process was officially carried out.
Officials from the department stated that market monitoring and the collection of expired and poor-quality products continues regularly. However, some residents of Baghlan have consistently complained about the lack of rigorous oversight, emphasizing that to prevent health threats, monitoring must be conducted more regularly and transparently.
The Head of Industry and Trade in Baghlan has urged traders and sellers to refrain from offering food and hygiene products that harm public health. He also called on citizens to pay close attention to expiration dates and the quality of goods when making purchases.
