Herat Traders Buy 19 Fire Trucks for Industrial Park

The Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines says traders have purchased 19 fire trucks at a cost of nearly $2 million and have allocated them to Herat Industrial Park.
Mohammad Naser Amin, head of the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, said the vehicles are equipped with professional, trained staff and are ready to respond to fire incidents at the industrial park. According to him, these resources will also be used inside Herat city if needed.
Herat Industrial Park is considered one of the province’s important centres of production activity, and industrialists have consistently called in recent years for the provision of the necessary equipment to contain fires in the area.
Herat is located in western Afghanistan, and its industrial park is regarded as one of the country’s largest production areas, where the concentration of factories and manufacturing facilities has highlighted the need for firefighting equipment and rapid emergency response.
