30 Soldiers Claimed Dead in Balochistan Attack by ‘Baloch Liberation Army’

The spokesperson of the so-called “Baloch Liberation Army” has claimed that a guerrilla attack on a military base in the Jiwani area near the port city of Gwadar in Pakistan’s Balochistan province resulted in the deaths of 30 soldiers and injuries to dozens more. This claim has not yet been independently confirmed or denied by official Pakistani sources.
Junaid Baloch, the spokesperson for the group, said in a statement sent to the media that the attack took place last night and involved the detonation of a Mazda vehicle at the front section of the base. In a video released by him, a large explosion is seen which, according to him, caused widespread fires throughout the military facilities.
He identified the attacker as “Ataullah Baloch” and added that following the explosion, special forces of the group, who had been repositioned near the camp, targeted soldiers who, according to him, were attempting to flee.
The group’s spokesperson also claimed that the newly constructed military camp was completely destroyed as a result of the blast.
In the final part of the statement, the group emphasized that it will continue its struggle until achieving “complete independence for Balochistan” and warned that further attacks will be carried out.
Balochistan province, located in southwestern Pakistan, has witnessed insecurity and separatist militant activities for years, conflicts that have consistently caused casualties among both soldiers and civilians, raising concerns about the stability and security of the region.
