Officials from 100 Countries Attend Farewell Ceremony for Iran’s Martyr Leader

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that officials and delegations from around 100 countries have traveled to Tehran to participate in the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the country’s martyred leader. According to him, these guests include heads of state, parliamentary leaders, foreign ministers, and special representatives from various countries.
On Thursday, July 2nd, Esmail Baqaei spoke with the news network, describing the farewell ceremony for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution as a significant event, not only for Iran but also for the people of the region and Muslims worldwide. He added that a large number of official figures and popular groups will also attend these events.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson stated that the ceremony of paying respects will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday and continue until around noon. In the afternoon session, starting approximately between 1:30 and 2 p.m., high-ranking country officials and political figures will attend the farewell ceremony, with activities continuing until evening.
According to the announced schedule, the farewell ceremonies will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd and 4th, 2026, at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran. The funeral procession for the martyred leader will take place on Monday, July 5th, in Tehran; on Tuesday, July 6th, in the holy city of Qom; and on Thursday, July 8th, in the holy city of Mashhad. The burial will be conducted at the Imam Reza Shrine.
