Indonesia Donates 400 Tons of Nutritious Biscuits to Afghan Schoolchildren Amid Hunger Crisis

The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced that 400 tons of nutritious biscuits donated by Indonesia have arrived in Afghanistan after traveling over 15,000 kilometers and crossing nine countries. This aid is set to feed approximately 170,000 primary school students. The food assistance is being distributed among schoolchildren in various regions of the country amid a severe hunger crisis.
The agency stated that by providing nutritious snacks daily, thousands of students in remote areas can continue their education with better concentration. According to the World Food Programme, the enriched biscuits play a crucial role in improving children’s nutrition, health, and educational progress.
Published reports indicate that the shipment’s transportation via land and sea routes faced significant challenges. Nonetheless, the aid has now reached the students and addresses some of their urgent nutritional needs.
The World Food Programme expressed gratitude to the government and people of Indonesia for supporting Afghanistan’s children and emphasized that continuing such cooperation is vital to prevent the spread of malnutrition among children, especially in underprivileged areas.
