Pakistan Reaffirms Constructive Role in Iran-US Negotiations

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that during a telephone conversation between Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Islamabad reaffirmed its commitment to playing a constructive role in the Iran-US negotiations and enhancing regional peace and stability.
In a statement released today by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, the country’s foreign minister emphasized Pakistan’s role in achieving lasting peace both regionally and beyond. This statement came following clarifications provided by Iran’s Foreign Ministry regarding this phone call.
According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in this call, expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended by the government and people of Pakistan to Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his accompanying delegation. He also expressed hope that understandings and agreements reached during this visit would be diligently pursued and implemented at various levels.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also stated that both sides reviewed the latest diplomatic developments during the conversation and emphasized the continuation of close cooperation and consultations to establish lasting peace and stability in the region.
The statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry added that Araghchi appreciated Islamabad’s ongoing support in advancing the peace process and thanked Pakistan for its cooperation in facilitating the safe and smooth return of Iranian crew members and fishermen to their country. Both parties agreed to maintain close contact and coordination moving forward.
