UNICEF Provides Clean Drinking Water to Earthquake Victims in Kunar Province

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Afghanistan has announced that it has facilitated access to clean drinking water for children and families affected by the earthquake in Kunar province. These aid efforts are particularly aimed at families displaced by the earthquake.
Tajuddin Oywala, UNICEF’s representative in Afghanistan, stated on his X (formerly Twitter) page that the organization, in cooperation with its partners, is striving to improve the living conditions of crisis-affected families and deliver essential services to them.
UNICEF emphasized that access to safe drinking water remains one of the urgent and fundamental needs for many vulnerable families in Afghanistan. The lack of clean water in the earthquake-stricken areas could increase the risk of various diseases.
Kunar province, located in eastern Afghanistan, has several areas that have suffered damage due to natural events, and its residents face serious challenges in accessing basic services.
